I came to China in 1995 and set up the first Café Igosso in Dalian in 1996.

According to Mitsui & Co., the powdered dried whole eggs were produced by Dalian Hanovo Foods Co. in Dalian, Liaoning Province. The trading company imported about 20 tons of the product on Sept. 1 and later sold the entire amount to Q.P. Egg Corp, a subsidiary of the major food company Q.P. Corp.

It’s now almost two years since my wife, Fongyee, and I moved to China to begin work as wine consultants, a profession that barely exists in a country that only really began importing wine some fifteen years ago and whose own wine industry is dominated by massive government corporations.

Here are pictures of our new appartment in Kaifaqu, Dalian. We are setteled in our new place and enjoying it very much, the move was well worth it. I, Abigail am working on the homey touches, as you will notice the appartment does look a little bare right now.

A special event to help students returning from abroad start their own companies is now on in the northeastern port city of Dalian. The Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education are hosting a week of activities.
