Google have recently hosted archives from Life Magazine, including many previously unpublished photographs. Among them were some pictures of Dalian and the Northeastern region of China circa 1946, where the photographers Mark Kauffman and George Lacks appear to be attached to the US military in 1946, the US assisting in the liberation of this part of China. Enough words, the pictures speak for themselves.
