All I've tried so far is green and yellow curries, but they haven't left me wanting anything else. I dropped a good load of kuai last time I was there, though. Curry ain't cheap anywhere.
I was quite impressed with this place. Was on my way to Igosso yesterday in a cab, when I saw the joint, and yelled at the driver to stop.
Had to give it a try, cause I'm seldom in that neighbourhood.
The place is clean, and when we were there they were playing what seemed to be a mixed cd with Jamiroquai and the Jackson 5. Excellent curry-eating music, if I do say so myself.
Me and my girlfriend got what I like to called the Abashi Christmas Special (i.e. one red and one green), a big' ol piece of nan bread, some rice, and a beer each. Came to 102rmb total, and I was left quite full.
Have to echo you guys. I would like some more options in terms of types of curry, like Madras, Biryani etc. and more of the snacks that you would normally expect in a good Indian place (at least in England). However what they do they do well, and I would recommend the nan highly.
It is actually a Japanese-owned chain, although the cooks seem to be Indian. A bit like a typical Dalian BPO operation (japanese invested, key workers Indian, input monkeys Chinese). A successful combination!

This is the best meal I have had in Dalian - the aubergine and potato curry was delicious! English menu available. The nan bread is gigantic!

Not bad at all.
