Dalian zoo used to breed tigers with female dogs as surrogate mothers to supply extra milk. The dogs are no longer there, but there are a couple of lions, I have no idea why.

While at the Zoo in Dalian, part of the ticket price is a performance involving Elephants and their handlers. The show was interesting and fun, involving audience participation, in feeding and in parts of the tricks.
