What is the best place to eat outdoors in Dalian?
As a subsequent follow up question, what is the best place by the sea, either on the beach or nearby?
I'm thinking more about Chinese food than Japanese, Korean or something else. Something better than the street BBQ or equivalent with no seating. That is to say with a waitress's, menu's optional but preferred, and not expensive.

Tiger Beach and Fujiazhuang are not bad. Although things tend to be a little overpriced. My personal favorite area for outdoor dining is Gao'er Ji Lu. Many restaurants all along that street do outdoor seating. Avoid I55 though. They'll steal your money and try to replace it with Bible verse.
Also, just behind/south of the Japanese pedestrian street in the Dawai area are a lot of beautiful restaurants with outdoor or patio seating. In the Guandi area.
You can always bring your own barbeque to the beach, and Alex can tell you a little more about that I'm sure.
