I think more content, mirrored in a central Dalian-centric site, is what this site was intended for in the first place.  I'd add that this site is non-profit non-revenue, and that anyone that would like to share their content here can do so under any licence (permitted use, creative commons, etc) they'd like.  I'd also add that it adds a little profile to anyone's blog - it gets everything together in the same place, and lets people find interesting/any stuff you've written about.

Invite to choose:  I think the choice to post here should be up to anyone.  Simply, the content has to be mainly Dalian centric (and if you write about a lot of things, aggregating Dalian-centric stuff here only and leaving out everything else can be done pretty simply).

I would not like to choose any blog, as this site is not my site, it is a site set up with a clear and transparent premise to provide information on Dalian: Everything Dalian, For Everyone.  The voting button under each blog post lets the community decide what's the best stuff, so why not have anything, and let the community decide what gets promoted (everything else will still stay on the site, just less prominant).

Clearly it doesn't harm to send an email to someone that has a blog.  Likewise, it doesn't stop anyone else.  So if you're logged into the site go to <a href="/node/add/feed">add feed</a> and add your own blog.  You retain full control of your posts, so if you add your blog, and this site grabs something you're not keen on being on DalianDalian, you can clear or update the entry on this site (without affecting your own blog) just like when anyone adds a post normally.

And again, if you take photos, any photo uploaded to Flickr.com and tagged 'daliandalian' gets posted here automatically (Alastair, I need to take a look at doing this with Flickr video, since the method of embedding is a little different).
